The weather throughout the Mid-Atlantic has been brutal this winter. Fortunately for Melissa and Chad, Mother Nature took a vacation and parted ways for fair skies and sunshine on their wedding day. I met Melissa and Chad as they were guests at both of my two other all time favorite weddings of Danielle + Derek and Angela + Freddy. I later found out the three brides went to high school together and still kept in touch to this day. I quickly learned during their engagement session in Baltimore the summer before this was a wedding not to be missed.
Chad and his groomsmen got ready at the historic Hotel Monaco while Melissa and her bridesmaids enjoyed stretching out in the bridal suite at Chase Court, their wedding venue. Like most clients that plan an evening ceremony, they are faced with the sun setting early and missing many natural light photo opportunities. Melissa and Chad overcame this by opting for a private first look and took all of their group photos before the ceremony.
I absolutely adored all of the details Melissa and Chad put together to make this wedding truly unique. It was easy to see the two have traveled all over the world and incorporated those moments in photos throughout the venue. The couple, along with 70 of their closest family and friends enjoyed an evening of dancing and celebration in the one of a kind venue in the heart of historic Mount Vernon.
